I have to agree with you Jeannie, some of the policy changes have had the same affect on me

I also agree that it’s getting to be a competition as to who can sell at the lowest price. I have stopped listing many of my books now and focus on information products now

Have you tried Amazon? You can ship your stock to them and allow them to cover distribution, which is a big time saver.

Over time Ebay has made more and more changes. Such as the one about shipping costs. I do agree that people should not need to pay over the top shipping fees. but some rules I see as fair and some leave me scratching my head.

I have stopped selling part time on Ebay for now, and am not sure I would go back to it, as it has become so competitive as to who can sell at the lowest cost. After a while, I really could not make much.

eBay are trying to eliminate those that over charge for postage but in their efforts they always hit everyone. They’ve since had a change of heart (I wonder why) and have allowed postage charges but have capped the amount being charged.

Either way it was to late for me as I was not prepared to swallow the charges so I stopped listing Books altogether. When you think one of the books I did sell cost over £10 in shipping, but still gave the customer a 50% discount on the shop prices.

I’m an eBay buyer, not a seller. I feel for the sellers as they are the ones directly affected by this. And should they decide to pass on the cost of P&P to their customers, this would come around to affecting buyers like me eventually. Not a good thing at all. Isn’t eBay earning enough already? Why do they have to make this kind of policy change in the first place? <– more of a rhetoric question than a rant…
